Dabhol LNG Terminal Project-Completion of balance works
CLI during the month of June 2020, signed a technical assistance contract with L&T-Construction, a leading Indian marine construction contractor who now has been awarded to complete the balance part of breakwater which is part of the marine facilities available at Konkan LNG Terminal, Maharashtra State in India.
Dabhol Power Plant consists of a 2 150 MW (net) combined cycle power plant along with an integrated 5 MMTPA LNG Terminal located at Anjanwel, about 340 km by road to the south of Mumbai.
CLI scope of work includes providing information and assistance for new fabrication of approx. 72 000 m3 of ACCROPODE™ blocks of sizes 9 m3 & 12 m3 and for providing technical assistance for placing of volume of approx. 130 000 m3 of ACCROPODE™ blocks on the breakwater.
This project will be a challenging assignment for CLI in providing technical assistance to the contractor in achieving perfect interlocking of the existing ACCROPODE™ layer with new sections of the breakwater yet to be constructed.
This project when completed will be an all-weather LNG Terminal, thus ensuring an uninterrupted LNG gas to the Indian Power Plants and Industries.
