Special features of the project
To protect and rehabilitate the Romanian black sea coast, the construction of a 250m long breakwater has been undertaken. The 1 m3 ACCROPODE™ II blocks are placed on the breakwater roundhead.
Hydraulic conditions
Length of the breakwater protected with ACCROPODE™ II blocks : 100 m
Max. seabed depth (toe): -3 m
Top of the crest: +3 m
Construction aspect
The breakwater was built from land. 620 ACCROPODE™ II units of 1m3 were placed using cranes.
