Protection of the new Duqm fishery harbour - Oman
The new port of DUQUM is a major project which was built by GALFAR on behalf of SEZAD.
This project consisted in the construction of two huge breakwaters: the main breakwater is 2150-meter long and the lee breakwater is 1070-metre long. Both breakwaters are protected by CORE-LOC™ armour units.
CLI has provided a tailored made assistance offering its remote and onsite services, with technical site visits for training and advising the contractor during the casting and placement phases. The COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE is a real added value allowing to make sure that the units are placed according to the CORE-LOC™ technology standards.
Special features of the project
The Owner of the project has requested the issuance of a COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE for the placement of the armour units. The COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATE has been issued by CLI.

Construction Aspect
The two breakwaters have been constructed using a land-based crane and a DGPS system allowing to locate the armour units.
