ASSISTANCE AT DESIGN STAGE AND PHYSICAL MODELLING

At project appraisal stage CLI offers to assist in mutual confidentiality, Owners, Designers and marine Contractors with the preparation of an engineered specific solution of their project by reviewing the project design. In this perspective, the relevant technical data must be provided to CLI. This review can confidentially be done at no charge in two ways:

1-   - Either designers or contractors study their own solution and submit it to CLI review;

2-     - Or CLI carries out a preliminary desk-study (technical memorandum, typical cross-sections and concrete quantity estimate).

Besides, a new computing tool, the calculator, is now available on CLI's website (see home page right menu) to help CLI units users in make the preliminary estimates at the early stages of their armour design work.

Hatching of ACCROPODE™, ACCROPODE™ II, and CORE-LOC™ units can also be downloaded from this web site for illustrating the units on Autocad cross-section drawings.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE DURING CONSTRUCTION

Compulsory technical assistance and services for the casting and placement of the units are supplied by CLI to the Contractor (end–user) at key moments of the implementation. Technical assistance to the Contractor has proved to be essential on past projects. CLI experienced staff organizes training sessions for the team on site, speeding up the learning process, aiming at achieving positive effect on production rates and quality of the works. This assistance will help insure that the breakwater armour will be built to the required standards, consistent with the Designer’s original design and tested scheme.

Every single layer application is subjected to a specific QA/QC plan enforced at design stage but also during construction.
